The location
command in Valheim is somewhat akin to teleportation. When you use this console command, you're actually generating or spawning a particular instance of a game location right where your character is currently located.
However, one important thing to note is that using this command will disable the ability to save your game. This means that anything you do while in this spawned version of the location cannot be saved and carried forward to your next session.
But there is a workaround. By adding the term SAVE
after the location name (for example, location FireHole SAVE
), it will spawn the mentioned game location and also keep the saving function active. That way, the progress you make in that location can be carried forward to subsequent sessions or games.
The location
command allows you to spawn a specific game location instantly.
However, when you use this command, you won't be able to save your game progress within that location.
If you wish to spawn a particular location and still wish to save your game progress, you need to use the command location [name] SAVE
.
