The skill ID for Fishing in Valheim, with raiseskill and resetskill commands to set your level from the console.

About

Fishing is an activity and player skill in Valheim unlocked by obtaining some Fishing bait and a Fishing rod, which allows a source of food and decoration items. Different types of Fish and Bait were introduced in the Mistlands update. The basic bait can only be obtained from the Merchant, but the rod can either be bought or found in a Frost Cave. It is possible to simply pick up fish without a rod, as they can sometimes be found stranded in shores.

Overview

Fishing is one of Valheim's character skills, tracked under the internal ID Fishing.

Experience is gained at 0.2 per second while reeling (+0.2 with a hooked fish).

At max level (100) it grants +200% reeling speed,-80% stamina usage.

Adjust your level from the console with raiseskill Fishing 10 to add 10 points, or resetskill Fishing to wipe it back to 0.

Every Valheim skill ranges from level 0 to 100, and its bonus grows as the level climbs — the +200% reeling speed,-80% stamina usage above is the full value you reach at level 100. Fishing earns experience at 0.2 per second while reeling (+0.2 with a hooked fish), so it climbs fastest when you use it deliberately.

Dying is the catch: each death drains roughly 5% of your level in every skill, Fishing included, so a hard-won level erodes quickly on a dangerous run. To claw it back without the grind, run raiseskill Fishing 10 — that adds ten levels at once, and you can pass any amount (or a negative number to lower it). Prefer a clean slate? resetskill Fishing wipes the skill back to 0.
