- The number of seconds you want to skip forward by.
Fill in the arguments below to build a ready-to-paste skiptime command.
Here are examples of how to use skiptime.
Skips 240 in-game seconds (about 4 in-game minutes) forward.
Skips 3600 in-game seconds (one in-game hour) forward.
The skiptime command in Valheim is used to fast-forward time by a certain number of seconds. This console command doesn't just change the in-game time but the entire server time.
The command looks like this:
skiptime [seconds]
You should replace [seconds] with the desired amount of time you wish to skip in seconds.
For example, if you want to skip an entire day in the game, you would enter skiptime 86400 as there are 86400 seconds in a day.
This feature can be greatly beneficial in two major ways. Firstly, it allows you to bypass the night period of gameplay that is inherently more dangerous and tough due to the additional hostile creatures that roam around.
Skipping night time can encourage safer gameplay especially when you are just beginning or when you are not equipped well enough.
Secondly, it simulates the passage of time rapidly which aids in speeding up crop growing or building processes that require a certain amount of time to pass in the game.
For instance, if you've just planted crops or are waiting for structures to be built.
This is a powerful command and should be used when you want to control time as per your convenience.
